Beal presents the design as a patented system, without publishing a number for it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe short anchor point is what makes setting up a rappel easier.\u003c\/strong\u003e It's a second attachment point, separate from the adjustable strand: you stay clipped in at the anchor on the adjustable strand while the short anchor point takes your rappel device. Those call for equipment built and certified for the job.
